Topographic Surveys

A topography survey (topo) is a detailed map of points on the earth’s surface locating physical features such as elevation changes, natural features including rivers and trees, and man-made structures like roads and buildings by way of a vertical and horizontal datum establishing the origin of the coordinate system. Topo surveys are crucial for understanding existing conditions for project planning, grading, land development, and construction.
